Hampton Inn Suites Addison Il

This hotel fits the Hampton Inn brand to a "T". Super clean, very quiet, reasonably priced, convenient to the airport, with the standard breakfast. Nothing fancy, but it certainly fills the bill. We used the gym one morning and that was good too. Would definitely recommend.

We were put up here for a family wedding that was nearby. Easy to find. We stayed this past weekend, 3rd and 4th of Aug 2024. First impression, especially for a hotel is very important. When we checked in,was a bit unfriendly atmosphere and the room was not very large. Getting ready, we happened to pull the bedspread down. The top sheet was dirty. So, we pulled the top sheet off and that had dirt and hairs on it. We called the front desk and they sent up the cleaning staff with new bedding. After removing the dirty bedding, a new set was placed on the bed. AGAIN, this was also dirty! Really? You would think that maybe housecleaning would properly clean before new guests arrive. The staff member called a supervisor. The end result was, that after going through 3 more sets, all with the same results, one was actually clean! The staff also checked the bathroom and changed out the folded towels and emptied the garbage. We stayed one night. There was literally no where else to stay as there were 3 other weddings going on in the area. So we were stuck here. I would advise to avoid The Hampton Inn and Suites on Lake Street in Addison IL. Do not recommend staying here. Happy that it was just a few hours we stayed after the wedding. We couldn't wait to get home and take a shower.

Visited Chicago for a family trip so I booked two connecting rooms. Normally, my default is the top floor but with family, i just needed quiet connecting rooms. The hotel placed us in Room 233 and 231 which turned out to be a great set of connecting rooms for a family so that we did not disturb other guests. There is no one below us (hotel kitchen), and no one on other side of us (stairwell on one side and housekeeping storage on the other). I occasionally heard some noise from the room above in the morning but it was minimal. Hotel is old but adequate. Breakfast starts later than most other hotels at 7. Housekeeping manager saw us in the hallway one morning and asked if we needed anything as we requested no housekeeping for our short stay. Front desk agent that checked us in on a work day afternoon was super friendly and super accommodating to kids but never saw him again throughout our stay over the weekend to get his name and thank him. Parking is adequate and next to restaurants and other shopping sites. It seems to be a quiet neighborhood after dark. Chicago is about 1hr drive from Addison with traffic.
