If only the temperature outside hadn’t been 96 at 7pm! I would have loved a glass of wine on the stunning porch looking onto the garden, mature trees and lawn, and other lovely houses along the street. The carriage house was comfortable and I can imagine extra cozy with the dark ambiance and fireplace in the winter. Pam shared some of the history of the main house which was fascinating. An impressive piece of architecture. The historic markers on nearby houses in the neighborhood were really fun to read and the houses there also stunning. Great restaurants and downtown within walking distance. I think my favorite part was a hot breakfast the next morning ❤️

My cousin and I stopped at Vrooman Mansion on our way to a memorial service in Ohio. We could not have asked for a better experience; not only was the accommodations and architecture top notch, the hostess was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the mansion's long history. The room was comfortable and spotless, and the home cooked breakfast in the morning was delicious. I would highly recommend the experience to anyone staying in or passing through Bloomington IL.

Beautiful home, rich in history. Hosts were amazing! They suggested a dinner place that was perfect. I highly recommend.
