Days Inn Decatur

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.Any positive reviews on here had to have been paid for. The entire room was horrible. It was so dirty and smelled awful. All of our clean items had to be washed after returning home because the smell of cigarette smoke permeated everything. There were bloody boogers smeared on the walls and what looked like blood in the bathroom next to the toilet paper. EVERYTHING was stained, the walls, the floor, the beds, the seats. The sheets were dirty, the blankets had burn marks and holes in them. The toilet seat was broken and barely hanging on. There were bugs, dead and alive, everywhere. We didn't even stay the entire time because of how atrocious the quality was. We even bought cleaning products and febreeze to try to make it work, with every hotel within an hour of the area being fully booked, we had no choice. We were provided one towel for four people and when we asked for more, we got one towel with a mystery stain on it. The only response to questioning the stain was "I promise it's clean", real reassuring. This place needs to be shut down by the health department.

Horrible, filthy, and would have given a zero. We reserved a non-smoking room several weeks in advance and when we arrived in the evening were given a smoking room that reeked heavily of urine, mold and smoking. When we tried to change rooms we were told they couldn't change our room and that all rooms defaulted to smoking rooms when you reserve them. The bedspread and blankets had burnt holes in them, the smoke detector was missing ( just wires), the towels were dirty ( one was still wet), the rug in front of the sink was soaking wet ( not sure from what), the sheets didn't appear clean, the dresser had a knob missing and a red sticky mass on top, the ac didn't work, The TV remote had to be used holding the battery in place with your finger and manually turn on the tv, there was no breakfast though it had said breakfast included ( the person there said he wasn't given the ok to have anything out and that there wasn't anything), they had two tables and one chair in the dining area to sit at and when we asked for another chair we were told that there wasn't any more chairs, the hallway carpet was a mess with dirt and debris, the place was a disaster and should have the health dept called in. Just terrible.

Ask for non smoking at time of booking, again at check in, I got a smelly smoking room, I was only in the room to sleep, had to open the window and turn the heater on. chain lock didn’t work, dead bolt didn’t work either. It was disgusting. Never again
