Comfort Inn

Stayed one night, was within a few miles of Galesburg Amtrak (nice little station that even has a large "Take a Book - Leave a Book" bookcase!) I was catching the train at. Room very clean, bed comfy, shower was hot, complimentary breakfast was reasonable. Staff also was very friendly and accommodating. Thank you, would return!

Checked in at 630, started locking at 130 due to asmatic response to cleaning chemicals- I honestly think they use Odoban. Was told by the desk he could not adjust anything at all on our room. Called Choice's 800 number and after 45 minutes on the phone got told I could have 12000 points for my "no" nights sleep. Moral- eff Choice Hotels all together. All refunds have to be handled at the property level??? I'm sorry... what?

As long as you go in realizing that you're staying at a budget motel, you will be perfectly satisfied. There were a few misses on cleanliness and repairs to the room, but nothing major. The large mini-fridge (it's got to be like 4 cu ft+) was impressive. Breakfast was fine with a waffle maker, yogurt, a couple hot options, and a good selection of cereal. The highlight was the friendly demeanor and work ethic of the front desk, which I assume was a husband-and-wife team (they were always working so hard I didn't get a chance to ask!). Check in and check out was extremely efficient and the breakfast area was always replenished promptly.
