Candlewood Suites Chicago/hoffman Estates

I saw some poor reviews so I was very worried but it was the only hotel available in the area for our dates so booked it. It ended up being great! You can tell they have upgraded and painted and are working on things, we stayed in the one bedroom suite and it was enough room for the three of us. My husband and I had the bedroom and our daughter used the sofa bed in the living area. The kitchen had what we needed including cutlery and glasses. It has a flat top two burner which looked fairly new. Anyway, I would stay here again. Also, the staff is very helpful and friendly.

Worst hotel stay. I requested an extra pillow and was told by the guy at front desk they were out and he gave me 2 sheets to ball up into a pillow. Unacceptable how does a hotel run out of pillows. The tub did not drain so it filled with water as I took a shower. The internet turned off halfway through the stay. I asked for a refund due to these issues and was told they can’t refund anything. Horrible staff they don’t care about their guests. You could tell there was water damage to ceiling due to a crap patch job. Will never stay there again or at any mainstay location.
