La Quinta Inn & Suites Jacksonville Butler

Was there for appts with Mayo Clinic. Just 2 of us. Me and a friend. First time for me staying there. It was got in the lobby and we weee on the 3rd floor. Noticed there were industrial fans in every floor- elevator had a delay and took a minute to get to you even if no one was on it. Got to our room and it was HOT- the air was on so we bumped it down no help. It blew cold air but barely blew any. We were switched to room on 5th floor. Much cooler but ceilings were dirty like mold painted over and shower had mold as well. Ice machine was not working on that floor and our mini fridge would not keep anything froze. Went down to another floor filed up Publix bags with ice and put stuff in cooler to keep cold. We were there for Mayo appts. Checkout was early on the day and we had appt starting at 730-10 and then nothing til 4 ( out of towners) it was too hot to do anything then had to have the mri so politely asked if we could get late checkout. She didn’t smile, didn’t say thank you. Nothing just said “you can pay $25 and check out at 1. I have stayed several places and this is first time I have been charged for late checkout. It was mid week, she didn’t even look to see if she could help. The one was reasonably priced for the service you get. Don’t depend on breakfast- I wouldn’t stay again because of the customer Svc personally. I think she could have met us stay until like 2 with the extra $$ paid but we got up and out at 1. She didn’t say Thank you for staying with us- How was your stay or anything??

excellent stay, comfortable beds, clean room snd wonderful breakfast eggs/ sausage links/ fresh made waffles. will stay again.
