Harrah's Metropolis Casino

Very nice renovation of guest rooms. Pleasing to the eye. Brighter colors. I am sure your guests and your employees are pleased with the new look. Good job!! We always enjoy the food and the service. Always A +.

We were looking for an accessible place to stay and this hotel was perfect. Despite the website being difficult to navigate for finding an accessible room when we phoned they were very helpful. The room itself was spacious and they were quick to accomodate a shower chair for the roll in shower. We ate at the Bridges restaurant onsite which at first seemed pricey but the portions were excellent. Then to finish the night at the casino itself ended a fun day in the interesting town that is Metropolis. In keeping with the theme of the town (though nothing superhero in the casino) this was a super stay!

We stay here between 8 and 10 nights every year. The hotel is clean and comfortable and located on the Ohio River. Many rooms have River views They have recently refreshed the property with new carpets, wall covering, furniture and bedding. There is a large parking lot. The restaurant, Bridges, has excellent steaks and on Sundays a traditional southern fried chicken dinner. Though they are only open Thursday - Sunday. There is a deli type "bistro". Food there is only so-so. The casino has a large bar with video poker/keno, many gaming tables and a large range of slots. Metropolis is the home of Superman and a couple of blocks away the town pays tribute to him with statuary and a small museum. There are some cute shops on the main street The National Quilt museum is a few miles away in Paducah. All in all it's a worthy short-term destination.
