Embassy Suites Downtown

Location is really good, everything in walking distance. Room nice and clean. It's a very busy hotel which means long waits for the elevators. We were on the 7rh so we only did the stairs once. Breakfast was like a cattle market with long queues for food and even a table. Also 100 dollar deposit for each night of your stay payable on check-in, not good if you are at the end of your vacation with a pre paid currency card! Returned on check out.

Five night stay at a suite with a city view. We have a great time at Embassy River North! Clean room and courteous staff made the stay a pleasant experience. Special shout out to Arnold for serving beers at happy hour! Only thing that annoyed me was the low water pressure (8th floor) and the lack of any shower seal on the floor. Due to the low water pressure, it took some time before we got any hot water.

My family and I stayed here for five nights during a vacation, and overall we were pleased with the family-friendly atmosphere, pool, breakfast, and evening reception. I typically prefer smaller hotels because of crowds, but Embassy Suites was a good fit for what we needed on this trip. Breakfast was included each morning and offered a solid variety of options, including made-to-order omelettes. If you go down around 7:00–7:30am, the crowds are manageable, though it does get noticeably busier as the morning goes on, which can make things more difficult. The staff works very diligently to keep everything stocked and clean, regularly refilling items and clearing tables as guests leave. Overall, the breakfast team was excellent. The indoor pool was about 4 feet deep and provided towels and roughly eight cushioned lounge chairs. It was a nice amenity for families, although the surrounding pool area could benefit from more frequent and thorough cleaning, as there were times when trash was visible in the area. Housekeeping was the weakest aspect of our stay. Each day there were noticeable oversights, such as no toilet paper left in our bathroom, an empty shampoo bottle not replaced leaving us with out any, and even a toilet brush left on the sink next to our belongings on one occasion. The glasses were rarely replaced as well. Common areas also seemed like they could use more consistent attention, including vacuuming and general tidiness. The evening reception was a nice touch and the staff working it were consistently friendly and welcoming. However, it too was quite busy and crowded at times, which made it a bit more difficult to fully enjoy. Overall, the hotel was fine for what we needed, especially given its central location near the subway, walkable areas, and a variety of nearby restaurants. Some of the issues we experienced feel like they could be improved with additional staffing and more consistent attention to housekeeping details.
