HAMPTON INN - SUITES CRAWFORDS

Hampton Inn Crawfordsville was an ideal location for our day trips to Turkey Run State Park! We have stayed at quite a few Hampton Inns, and have always expected, and received excellence. This particular hotel was the best! (We had a three-night stay). The price for the room was very reasonable - lower than many Hampton Inns, but the quality was still superb. Little extra amenities were noticed, including to-go bags with water and granola bars, along with bagels/peanut butter and jelly to take with in the morning - in addition to the usual delicious menu for breakfast. The setting of the hotel, adjacent to lush agricultural fields made for a pleasant atmosphere when coming and going. Clean! Low noise level! Great Service! I have not written a Tripadvisor for a long time but was compelled to do so after our stay in Crawfordsville. One very noteworthy thing that happened: I discovered, to my dismay, that we had a flat tire on our car after checking out of the hotel. I mentioned this fact to the woman who was working behind the hotel desk, and she said that the hotel had an air compressor that I could use. She hauled a large commercial size compressor out to our car and personally filled the flattened tire for us. She noticed where the air was leaking out of the tire and referred us to an auto shop just down the street for the tire repair (where we were able to get a quick, successful repair). The incident, which could have sidelined us for a long while, was quickly resolved - thanks to this Good Samaritan hotel worker! Hampton Inn Crawfordsville is a great place to stay, and Crawfordsville is a great city to visit!

We paid in full for a two-night reservation and made no changes or cancellations. Due to an emergency, we missed the first night but arrived the second night and were denied check-in. We had to book another hotel and received no partial refund. The policy does not state that missing the first night forfeits the reservation. When I called for clarification, the representative could not provide the policy, was rude, and hung up when I asked for her name.

Our delayed arrival (1:30 AM) was no problem, and the facilities were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff. (The micro-fridge lacked a freezer, but the desk clerk put our freezer packs in the hotel freeser.) Good breakfast options. I can't believe how long we foolishly kept going to a cheap motel in Crawfordsville as it went steadily downhill. We'll be back.
