Baymont Inn and Suites Ft. Wayne

First time at a Spark location as a Diamond member (Hilton) and it was nice. Tapered my expectations overall. Room was clean hotel looked presentable and modern. I didn't have the breakfast so I can't comment on that. For the right price I would definitely stay here again. Blonde lady at the front desk was welcoming at check in and out.

Super clean, simple stripped down Hilton to compete for the budget minded travelers. Bright colors, clean hallways and rooms, simple scandinavian styled lobby/seating/breakfast area. Friendly staff. Exterior doors lock at 10 pm, pass key enterence. Depending upon direction travel, the enterence is either before or after the Northern Tool Eguipment store, need to pay attention finding the driveway as sign is small. Breakfast fare was OK, better than budget hotel chains but clearly not up to Hilton standards . . . yogurt dispensing machine was interesting as well as having hard boiled eggs available. Coffee available in the evening when checking in or returning from dinner / event. Convinient access to I-64, and Lima street into downtown Ft Wayne.

I had never stayed in a Spark hotel before and while I usually stick with what I know, the fact that it is a Hilton property made me think that this was probably a legit place and it was! You can get all types of price points for hotels in Fort Wayne, but Spark probably offers the best value. It's not big and fancy, but it is clean, modern and offers friendly service. I can't say enough good things about Kayla, who welcomed me to the motel and gave me some good recommendations. She was also present the next morning in the breakfast room. Speaking of breakfast, that was probably the only negative. Pretty slim pickings. Just some bagels, cereal and pre packaged muffins. No waffle maker or any hot food. But for the price I paid and the comfort of a nice king size bed in a well appointed modern room, I would return in a heartbeat.
