Prepaid Guaranteed Reservation Not Honored – Still Waiting on Promised Reimbursement I booked a prepaid, guaranteed reservation through Marriott's website nearly a month in advance for a stay from May 8–10, 2026. When I arrived at the hotel, the front desk informed me that they had no rooms available and could not honor my reservation. I was told they did not know why Marriott's website had allowed the booking and was simply advised to find another hotel. This occurred during a very busy weekend in Indianapolis when several large events were taking place and hotel rooms were extremely difficult to find. Instead of the hotel arranging alternative accommodations, I spent approximately four hours on the phone with Marriott Corporate trying to find a room. Marriott ultimately placed us in a Sheraton hotel at a cost of $1,110.33. Marriott Corporate later advised me that the hotel should have arranged replacement accommodations when it was unable to honor a confirmed reservation. The Fairfield Inn manager subsequently acknowledged the hotel's failure to follow policy and assured me that I would be reimbursed in full for the Sheraton stay. I immediately provided the requested invoice and documentation. Unfortunately, despite multiple follow-up calls, texts, and emails over more than a month, the promised reimbursement has not been paid. I have repeatedly been told that approval is pending or that an update would be provided, but no resolution has occurred.

The room was disgustingly. Terrible animal urine/toxic chemical smell. This hotel is a disgrace. Whatever you do, do not let them put you on floor one as it is most likely used for pets. Just horrible.

Good location. Room was dated and lighting was poor. Air conditioning mounted on wall under the window which was loud and difficult to control as there was only one fan speed so it got very cold quickly and then we had to turn it off until the room got too hot again. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom so damp towels made the whole room smell musty. We were here for 4 nights and housekeeping was scheduled every 2 days, but they did not come so I had to call them as we needed toilet paper and clean towels. Breakfast was okay and the usual choices for a Fairfield Inn.
