Motel 6 Indianapolis

BEWARE. This hotel charged my credit card without authorization. I had made a reservation via Hotels.com (I have used this website for years with no issues until this place) on March 28th for the weekend of April 3. It was clearly stated that cancelation prior to 2pm on April 3 would be a full refund. I cancelled the reservation a few hours later (at 10:42pm - my college basketball team lost in the elite 8 game so no need to go to the final 4 in Indianapolis). They decided to charge my for 1 night stay anyway - $105.29. I talked to hotels.com and they are with me as everything was done right on my side and the policy by this hotel was clearly stated on their website. They just decided to charge me anyway and won't refund my money. I talked to them 4 different times and always got the runaround. I wouldn't trust them with any credit card info. I'll be filing a Better Business Bureau claim against them so their fraudulent practices are document. Stay here at your own risk.

If I could give this zero stars I would. I booked this through Expedia because it had good recent reviews and the price was right. However, I should have known better not to stay at a Motel 6, ever, even one that had renovated rooms. You walk in and there is no physical front desk person, just a virtual agent who talked to you through the internet, took your ID, and made your keys. Even though I arrived at 12:30am, the front door to the hotel was WIDE OPEN. Literally anyone could come in and no one could stop them because there was no physical person at the front desk. I get a room on the first floor and notice that the door at the end of the hall was propped open by some of the patrons--also unsafe. Then, the door to my hotel room looked like it had been broken and wouldn't lock properly. The room itself had been renovated recently, but it was dirty. The freezer to the fridge was absolutely disgusting. The towels were ratty and brown. The cushions on the window bed were stained. I didn't end up staying one night there, I went straight to a hotel next door which was a much better experience. I am trying to get my money back but so far I have gotten nothing. It's criminal, really, I feel like I have been scammed. Stay away!

They seem to be trying here but they need lots of improvement! The back door does not lock inviting anyone at the bus stop behind it full access so it was not secure at all. We only got two little scratchy towels to share for showers. There was no soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. they did not offer breakfast. They would not print an invoice for us. They worked above our room all evening banging around making lots of noise so it was not relaxing. I will say they are near lots of restaurants.
