HAMPTON INN - SUITES VALPARAIS

Very good location for the rather small town. Unfortunately, it was very loud (do not take the room behind the kitchen). Room service did not work. Well-intentioned breakfast, completely sufficient.

Very clean place and breakfast was Hilton Standards.

This is one of the worst hotels in the Valparaiso area that we have ever stayed at. The place is on the newer side. The rooms are clean. However, the front desk staff are questionable. We stayed long term. Big mistake! I didn't realize that they disliked having long term guests. To sum it up, the general manager, Kat Larson, took an instant dislike to us. It seems that being from Los Angeles, California upset her. She went out of her way to make our stay as unpleasant as possible by making up false stories about us. Some of the staff members would tell us about what she was saying about us and genuinely felt bad for us. Others just listened to her vicious rumors and were very pleasant. It's really upsetting that we spent a lot of money at a place where we were not welcomed. This has really left a bad impression about the Hilton brand on me. I cannot in good faith ever stay at another Hampton inn again. There are other hotels in the area. I recommend staying far away from this place!
