Comfort Inn South

We now have a new record for check in speed! I've been traveling for business for over 45 years and it seems the check in process gets slower and slower. But not at this Quality Inn! The front desk clerk had my keys ready and I promise the entire process didn't take a full minute! I had to find this desk clerk's name to give him his due recognition. Se'Vontae is a true asset to the business. He has a great attitude, truly into customer service. The room is also nice, all in all a very nice hotel experience but it started with excellence at check in.

Stay somewhere else! My reservation was canceled by a customer service representative at Choice Hotels and the person working the front desk here on 1/14/2024 WITHOUT my request/confirmation/approval! I was informed I would be receiving a full refund and planned on rebooking once the funds were returned so I wouldn’t be charged twice. The money was never refunded. The hotel refuses to respond or communicate with corporate (Choice Hotels), the BBB, and my phone calls/emails. And since Quality Inn South fraudulently created a receipt stating that a refund was processed on 1/14/25, corporate states there is nothing they will do.

We just needed a place to stay overnight. Traveling cross country but had to stop due to snow. The hotel is pretty standard but there were some nice touches (in addition to being warm on a cold snowy night!). The clerk that checked us in was very friendly, as was the clerk that checked us out the next morning. The hotel has been somewhat updated; older building but looks like flooring is new, bathroom fixtures and counter, beds and maybe other items. Not a complete renovation by any means, but it's nice to see the effort. Water pressure in the shower was very good, which is always a nice surprise. The price was very reasonable. We knew we weren't going to get a gem, but this was a good value for the money. Breakfast could use some improvement; standard fare but the only warm item was a waffle. So, overall, I would certainly stay here again, if it was just for an overnight.
