Fairfield Inn & Suites Cedar Rapids

Centrally located, the service was very good, the sleeping accommodations were fine, the breakfast was of "normal" quality. Unfortunately, we had an issue with the security light shining in our window, and I did not realize until the next morning that there was a 3rd set of curtains in front of (nearest the window) the other 2 sets. They were hidden and I had not spotted them. Also, the toilet mechanism had a bad seal and kept cycling throughout our stay, about every 3-5 minutes. Annoying, but not a big issue. We closed the bathroom door and hardly heard it after that.

The street noise and frequent train horns blaring is overwhelming even over a white noise machine. Don’t stay here is you want quiet. I know the management can’t control that. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. Exercise room was adequate and breakfast was okay.

The printer is yet again not working and the staff offers to have you send them any documents you want printed. For the price, this is not acceptable. Why is it that the staff printer is always working but the customer printer sits broken?
