Days Inn Merle Hay

Due to their employee giving me wrong information I was charged an extra 50$/night. I had booked one room from hotel.com called the hotel 2 weeks later to add a second room. They told me to cancel the first reservation. We traveled a month later and when we arrived they only had one room for us and if we still needed a second room it would now be 179/night instead of the 129 originally booked for. No breakfast available as advertised.

HORRIBLE! We will never stay here again. They started harassing us at 10:30 am to be out of the room at 11 am then came and knocked again at 10:45 am to see what time we are leaving. We knew check out was at 11 am and left at 10:58 am. Then I see a charge on my bank account for 20.00 more. I call and Mike A very rude man starts yelling at me saying it’s for late check out. We DID NOT CHECK OUT LATE! I basically told him that was not the case and he hung up on me. Basically stealing my money. I called back to ask for my money back and he said to talk to the manager at 5pm. Oh and when we checked in the places smelled horrible and there was vomit all over the stairs that was not cleaned up until morning. Trust me we would not of stayed a minute longer that needed. Especially how filthy it was and how rude the morning staff was and now this Mike. However we had driven 12 hrs and stoped there to rest before we kept going. We did not need to be bullied out before our time and then having them add 20.00 fee for late check out when we left at 10:58am!

They messed up my reservation. I was fine if they corrected it but they wanted to charge me more for my stay and told me I should have remembered who I spoke with when I made the reservation. Who does that? The reservation number wasn’t enough. The manager was also really rude and said if I called corporate they would t do anything about it. I guess they feel they can treat customers with disrespect because they have no one to answer to. They both interrupted me and then asked if I was done talking. Not once did I hear, I apologize for this mistake and how can we correct it. Instead the manager said it was my word against someone else’s. Which makes no sense because it wasn’t someone’s word against someone else’s. It was a mistake they made based on facts. I would never stay here!!!! Beware!!! There are other great hotels in the area -go there!
