Sleep Inn

We were very pleased, with one exception. Both nights, the A/C seemed to go off in the middle of the night. Maybe the thermostat had a motion detector feature so it turned off when it didn't detect any movement? Otherwise it was fine.

Michelle at the front desk was Incredible! She was so amazing and kind and made my two young daughters feel like they were VIP by taking the time to talk to them and ask how they were doing whenever she saw us. Her smile and warm personality made us want to come back! Hotel was clean and updated. Free water was a nice touch. Pool: We booked through Priceline and were told the property had a pool but didn’t find out until later that you have to walk to the sister hotel. It was close but still a bit inconvenient but not the hotels fault. Michelle again was kind and showed us right where to go. Food: The breakfast was great even for my picky eaters. We had dinner one night and it was pricey for what it was. The kids meal was $9 with one of the sides being potato chips straight out of the lays bag , I mean they put them in a fancy bowl but still😆. The listing said it included a drink but we were charged extra for the kids drinks. Would definitely stay again just eat elsewhere.

Whenever I visit Des Moines for business I stay at Revel. The hotel is away from the city centre, but the facilities and services are excellent. The academy tb is great. There is a traditional restaurant right next to the hotel which also adds a lot to the stay.
