A Victory Inn & Suites - Bowling Green

Second stop at a Marriott property on this trip. Hotel was nice but no internet. They say it is because Marriott switched to all internet through Bonvoy rather than individual hotels. I will no longer book Marriott properties even though I have been a Bonvoy member for over 20 years. No internet problem when I stayed at Hampton Inn on this trip. No internet at 4 Marriott properties.

What should you expect for $280 for 2 nights? Staff at this hotel seems to think not much. I wonder what they would expect if they spent that money on a 2 night “vacation” stay??? No housekeeping so you had to go retrieve your own clean towels for the second day. Housekeeping vacuuming the hallway at 9am outside of the room. Requested a late checkout and housekeeping tried to get in the room at just after 10am with no knock. Luckily I had the room locked from the inside. I went to the door and she told me she was told the room was vacant???? Normal check out was noon and I had until 2. Poor communication and clearly the front desk didn’t care as they said they would talk with her and that was likely frustrating to me. Frustrating???? No, infuriating from your incompetence is more like it. Never again! There are other options in this town.

The two front desk gentlemen I encountered last night (7/13) at 10pm were so friendly and welcoming! I had come downstairs to shamefully ask if they have deodorant because I forgot to pack lol. I didn’t catch their names because I was trying to make the embarrassing encounter end quickly but I believe one was just starting and the other just about to leave. Their smiles and understanding tone made me feel so much better and I truly appreciate them because my night was about to be ruined by forgetting my deodorant! Luckily they gave me some and I am so appreciative! It definitely turned my night around. Please thank these gentlemen again for me!
