Our group had a wonderful stay at the Hampton Inn Lexington/Georgetown during our recent CIY trip. Coordinating accommodations for 86 people, most of them teenagers, is no small task, but the entire hotel team handled our group with patience, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. Kelsey Cook, the Group Sales Manager, was fantastic to work with from beginning to end. She made the planning process easy, communicated clearly, and ensured that everything went smoothly for our large group. The breakfast area was consistently clean, organized, and well prepared. The breakfast host was incredibly courteous and welcoming. I regret that I did not get her name, but her kindness and attention helped our mornings begin on a great note. I especially want to recognize Shannon at the front desk. She demonstrated the highest level of customer service throughout our stay. She helped with special requests, offered excellent recommendations, anticipated our needs, and repeatedly went above and beyond to help our group. Her patience and graciousness while working with 86 guests, most of whom were teenagers, says a great deal about her professionalism and character. Kelsey, Shannon, and the entire team made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, especially for church groups, student groups, and anyone coordinating a large gathering. Thank you for making our CIY trip even better. We would gladly stay here again!

We stayed for 6 nightsThe room was clean when we arrived They said they would clean the room every other day. The only thing they did was provide new towels. They never changed the sheets. The breakfast was excellent the first 4 days. There was a lady who walked with a cane who did a great job with the breakfast. The last 3 days she was off and the person running the front desk was also running the breakfast. She could not keep up and they kept running out of food. Had an incident where my key would not work. Front desk new issues key still didn’t work. Nobody was at the front desk and I had to wait half an hour for someone to assist me. Overall the hotel was cleaned but seemed very short staffed

I have been using Hilton Hampton Inns since the mid 1980s, and it seems that this use to be one of the best kept secret of Hilton, because soon they went up in price. What I use to love about Hampton Inns, was their welcoming you to the hotel as a member, the coffee, bottle of water, some of the best beds to sleep in and a wonderful breakfast no matter who prepared the food. At some of the Hampton they would even have cookies or like in Philadelphia, some good Philly pretzels. I have to say that they have really gone downhill, and since my last stay at the Georgetown Kentucky Hampton Inn, I decided that I had to voice my opinion and disappointment. This was a special trip for and my wife, as she had never went to the Kentucky Derby and this was very exciting for her. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by a gentlemen by the name of Todd, and was great about telling us where to eat and how to get Churchill from our location, and provided us with extra items. We unpacked and didn't notice too much of the room, other than they don't have night stand anymore, it's just a piece of wood or something attached to the wall, with a phone, clock and in this case the light was on the wall. The large dresser was on there with three small drawers, and you know when a wife unpack they take that space up, while I lived out of the suitcase other than my suit or jacket that hung up, with clothes as well. We went out, and asked for an extra pillow later when return, and then upon returning notice that there were some things under the a/c wall unit, which looked like Cheerios. The next morning before leaving for Louisville, we asked the house keeper to clean the floor, as there was some stains on the floor as well, and I had also notice door was very dirty where you could see finger prints from people, and a big stain like someone had spilled a drink and it dribble down the door. There was things in the sink as well, and some disturbing hair in the shower on a foot step. When were leaving we stopped by the front desk and told the person there as well. Before leaving I decided to have some breakfast, but once I looked at the running eggs, and the water down sausage gravy, I decided to eat a bagel with cream cheese, and in fact that's what I had while having breakfast there everyday, and my wife had yogurt. When we returned the bed was nicely made up, and it looked as if someone came in vacuum, but I looked under the a/c wall unit and the Cheerios was still there, and the door was just has filthy. I decided to get some soak and used a wash rag with hot water, and wiped down the door myself. It didn't completely clean, but I felt better that I attempted to clean the dirt. Needlessly to say, I told the front desk again, but when we returned from the Derby it was a loss cause, and we were leaving soon. The biggest disappointment was that the room was extremely hot, and after the first day we reported this information to the front desk. The maintenance came in, and said it was okay, and that unit was put in backward and high temperature meant that it was cool, and low temperature reading on the panel was meant that it was hot. I couldn't believe this, and I wrote a personal note to them on their survey, and all I got back from the manager was an apology, and hope that on my next visit to Lexington area, I would give them another chance. I don't think I'll be going back there, and I may not be going to another Hampton Inn again. Oh, I can't forget about the paint peeling from the ceiling. I just can't believe we actually stayed there all time, but we wanted to be there for the Derby, and packing and unpacking would've been too much at our age these days.
