Holiday Inn Morgan City

Sketchy motel. 2 owners of the same property...How does that happen? My wife made reservations with Clarion Hotels. We arrive at the location, check in & found out about the sideshow. Clerk gave a story about the property being under 2 owners, but only one working computer system. He supposedly was a Quality Inn employee & we needed to call their 1 800 # to change the reservation. Got that taken care of, then I findout we get charged more $$ for the room & they take away 1 free breakfast. Keep in mind, it's me & my wife. Clarion stated customers get free breakfast while staying with them. Not a relaxing stay. Thank you!!

This was a pleasant surprise. Located in Morgan City, this property houses two hotels: Clarion and Quality. The room was exactly as expected: dorm fridge, flatscreen tv, microwave and table/chairs. The beds were clean and comfortable. A/C worked well, and the shower pressure was fine. The property allows for parking right in front of your room. There is a restaurant and lounge on site. Beautiful outdoor pool. Business center. ATM. This property is tucked away off the main drag and located next to a senior center, so it's very quiet. I would stay here again.

The Morgan City location recently swapped over from Directv to Roku. Roku relies on a good internet service which this facility definitely does NOT have. In fact this hotel has some of the worst internet I have seen in a Business type hotel. I was at the bar last night and the conversation of how poor the Internet is and how the TV's have to buffer and you miss the content of the show you are watching. There were near a dozen residents in there and we all agree that this is unacceptable. The employees here are on the front line and they are tired of having to apologize for such poor performance. They are good people but Clarion has chosen cost over providing a good service to your patrons. So, if you travel for business you will have poor internet. If you are there for relaxation and want to view TV....forget it! Roku freezes up and buffers every 5 minutes or so. Cannot believe in today tech. environment that a facility would have such bad service.
