Had two rooms. Great location. Laid back atmosphere. Halls and rooms smelled like mold and musty. There was hair on the bathroom sink and tub. The bathroom vent rattled loudly. The room door did not auto shut. We had to put our shoulder into it to make it close. One room had visible mold and scum in the hvac vents. There were also plastic grocery bags stuffed in the wall beneath the hvac. Both the shower and sink drained extremely slowly. There were only eggs and cereal for breakfast, the entire weekend.

My partner’s card information was stolen from this hotel and potentially their ID. They have made charges under the card used during check-in. This card was not used anywhere else. Therefore, it could not have been anywhere else. All charges were made near this location.

When I see the name Marriott I assume it will be a quality property. I guess Marriott doesn’t equate with excellence anymore. So, first the pros: the desk staff was very welcoming and thorough. Check-in was quick and efficient. Fast elevator. The room was clean. Breakfast was very limited but tasty. The a/c was very cold. Bed and linens were comfortable. Now for what we didn’t care for: the luggage trolley was practically falling apart. The elevator was banged up. The room doors were covered with wood grain contact paper that was peeling and the hallways were dingy. There were limited pillows for two people and a lack of outlets. The body wash container in the shower was empty. Although the a/c blew very cold, it made awful noises throughout the night. This property fronts I-10 and the highway noise was terrible. The window in the room was very narrow (minor, I know, but I disliked it. There were no ice machines anywhere. The pool was having maintenance done. Overall there was a dinginess to the place. I’m disappointed that a Marriott hotel would be so, for lack of a better word, crummy. I’ll be more discerning the next time I travel (which is often).
