Prince Conti Hotel

Stayed here for the first time and this is my honest review. Location is excellent! It is a walking distance from the main attraction which is the Bourbon street. Overall, hotel and the room are clean and free of any smell. Location is also safe and sound and I didn't feel anything bad. They have an onsite valet parking for a total of about $45 a night. Unfortunately, room is extremely small! They have tried their best to cramp everything in a small size room which they shouldn't. We booked a deluxe size 2 queen beds and were barely walking around each other inside the room without bumping into each other. If our deluxe size room is like that, I can't even imagine how the regular size room would be! Our room was definitely more than enough for one double size bed let alone putting 2 beds of any size. Bathroom was extremely small as well with a small sink and weird faucet installation. My biggest disappointment happened as soon as I arrived at the location. As clearly visible in the attached pictures, they have an extremely small size entrance for any size vehicles. On top, they put these metal signs on each side to make it even more difficult for the drivers to enter. We arrived in a van and there was this African American valet guy sitting inside on his phone as usual. He clearly saw I was struggling to bring the van inside and instead of helping right away, he just sat and saw our struggle. Obviously, I ended up hitting one of those metal signs on the side and ended up with multiple scratches on my brand new van! After I hit those sign, only then this guy lazily and hesitantly came over and moved one of the signs for us to pull in. Extremely poor and horrible service specially for a first time customer! Even though scratches were clearly visible, there was no apology or remorse from this valet guy. He acted as if nothing has happened and instead looked at me for any tip! At the check-in counter, I brought this problem to another African American individual, Kenny/Kent, and he just shrugged it off and told me that the guy did help me to pull in. After I told him that I did end up with multiple scratches he still didn't care and offered nothing! I was just so tired after a long and tiring drive that I just decided to head to my room and nothing else. Be extremely careful driving into their entrance specially if you have a big car. They will offer zero help and/or any compensation if you get any damages! Our first time trip to New Orleans was ruined!

Stayed three nights. Room was clean and modern. Hotel has few additional amenities and staff are helpful. Despite being less than a block off bourbon street, room was quiet at night. Very few of the rooms (if any) have a street view which is why they are quiet. The lounge was closed during my stay so can’t commment on that. The adjacent restaurant (does not serve dinner) is very good very reasonable and very quick. Absolutely best option for breakfast. Does not appear the clean rooms every day. And I can attest the hotel fire alarm works quite well, having been awoken at 4:00 AM to spen a few minutes outside.

Great people and nicely kept hotel in the French Quarter, close to Bourbon Street. Room was quite nice and comfortable with a great bathroom. Beds were comfy.
