Great location in French Quarter, near the heart of Bourbon Street without the noise. This will be THE place we choose when we return. You have to like old, aged, rustic charm because this isn't a modern place by any means, but it's clean and well maintained. Free incredible coffee at the coffee bar each morning, and 24/7 access to bottles of water. John at the front desk is amazing!! Some heads up when you book old world original charm... Two people with two bags barely fit the slow elevator so it's really only for when you arrive and depart - this is a place more for fit people that like stairs (we do) as there are 4 stories. The pool could use more chlorine or something. Would go back in a heartbeat assuming the pool was just overdue for a cleaning. Worth the price.

The Olivier House Hotel is one of the last independently owned hotels in the French Quarter, and it’s absolutely full of authentic New Orleans charm. All the staff were amazing—so friendly and welcoming. Every room has its own individual style and character, and the entire hotel is filled with fascinating little nooks and crannies to discover. If you’re looking for a modern chain hotel, this probably isn’t for you. But if you want somewhere unique, full of history, personality and genuine New Orleans charm, I would 100% recommend it! Added extra is coffee is on tap and water cakes and fruit 💗 We will definitely be back ! My only complaint we didn’t meet any of the ghosts 😘

Our kids are teenagers and so, of course a little hard to please, but they loved the Olivier House. The historic nature of the building intrigued them and they actually enjoyed just wandering around the walkways, balconies and courtyards. We all went swimming one afternoon and that was a nice experience to have our kids unplug from electronics and just hang out with us. Nice experience. Our daughter loved that they had three cats in the hotel and our son enjoyed the free snacks out 24 hours. What really made our New Orleans trip fun for everyone was the good advice from the staff about what we would all enjoy in New Orleans. They helped us get off the beaten path and find places that were not so crowded. One really authentic experience they put us onto was Preservation Hall. Another nice thing was a swamp across the river (car needed) that had walkways into it. We had it all to ourselves and truly enjoyed it. The price was free. Lastly, they had us go uptown to Tipatina's on Sunday night for a Cajun Fais Do Do. Just us and a whole bunch of locals. Another great experience. The hotel is clean, comfortable and completely full of history and character. We most certainly plan to return again. Thank you to all of the friendly and helpful staff for helping make our New Orleans trip a great one.
