Abalonia

We chose the Abalonia Inn for a special occasion and were extremely disappointed. A malfunctioning room lock left us unable to access our room or belongings for approximately five hours—from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Our medications, wallets, swimsuits, sunscreen, and other belongings were locked inside, causing us to lose most of our planned beach day. While the inn provided dinner that evening, it did not compensate for losing a significant portion of our vacation. Even more troubling, management later suggested that we may have tampered with the lock, despite the part in question being accessible only from inside the locked room. Despite contacting management afterward and giving them ample opportunity to address the situation, we never received a satisfactory resolution. Problems happen, but how a hotel responds matters. Given both the five-hour lockout and the way we were treated afterward, we would not stay here again.

$2,229.61 for four nights. Our sink was clogged and drained incredibly slow. Brought it to the front desk’s attention—never fixed. The pool tiles are falling off and so is the concrete. The pieces are on the floor of the pool—I cut my foot on one piece. Stones broken on the hot tub. No orange juice two times in a row. To-go coffee cups had large lids that didn’t fit—staff said someone ordered the wrong cups, and those are the only lids they have. Not that this affected our stay, but the rain gutters have tall weeds growing out of them. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. This was our third stay there—it will likely be our last.

Absolutely magical! The room was beautiful and the whole property had the best vibes. Super close to the beach and fantastic restaurants. Highly recommend!!
