Old Orchard Beach Inn

Beautiful beaches. Lot’s of shops and so much to do. So many restaurants and things to do. Go visit!!

The place had bed bugs. At first we thought that we had gotten mosquito bites, so we sprayed Lysol on the bed to hopefully get rid of them and that's when the bed bugs came out. Caught some of them and being late at night the front desk was closed and we could not get in touch with anybody. The next morning when we talked to management the first thing they asked was if we found them on "the base board or mattress", with no concern or surprise whatsoever, so, Omar, the manager has had the issue before and probably never reported it. We were then moved to another room but by then the damage had been done.  We had to spend the rest of our vacation washing clothes at the laundromat and cleaning and spraying everything even the car to avoid taking them with us. Then when we were turning the keys in to leave, I asked for the owners email and was asked "Why?" I pressed the issue and Omar said "We took care of the issue", and was dismissive of anything happening. He finally told the guy at the counter to give us the generic email that they have for reservations, not the one for the owner, so no wonder nothing goes past him and the problems get swept under the rug. Not even a sincere apology or any type of compensation. We paid about $1500 for our stay and were expecting a quality location that provided a safe and sanitary heaven for our stay. I would strongly encourage anybody staying at or thinking about staying at the Old Orchard Beach Inn to ask for reports of infestations, what pest control company they have used, and if it was certified by the Health and Human Services department. Situations like this can happen to any hotel, but the way they handle the situation makes a big difference especially when you are paying top money.

Avoid this place like the plague, price gouging, no ac , parking is a joke horrible place to waste your time unless you enjoy cold showers, hot air , people looking into your windows, swimming in an ice bath , I can’t imagine anyone enjoying this pitiful excuse for a inn, first and last time I will ever darken their doorways
