La Quinta Inn & Suites Baltimore BWI Airport 2045

No pool or Hot Tub for two years and no plans to repair. Breakfast is terrible like a old heated up TV dinner. One very slow elevator for all floors. Will never recommend

Landed in BWI and needed an overnight stay to wait for a train tomNYC the following day. Hotel was reasonably priced. Excellent shuttle driver from the airport. Check in was great and given a couple of good options for food in the area. Comfortable room, looked recently refurbed. Breakfast was OK, coffee was good!

Do NOT stay here! If I could give zero stars I would. I had a four-night stay booked and checked out within 24 hours of arrival. I woke up at 6:00 a.m. on my first night to find a bed bug crawling through my sheets, a reddish-brown, engorged bug that based on its size and coloring had almost certainly been feeding on me all night while I slept (see picture). I called the front desk immediately and asked that my sheets be changed so that I could go back to sleep without worry. The front desk attendant called the manager, who was not even on the premises, and he told her not to change the sheets but to simply hand me fresh linens to deal with myself. I was then told that if I wanted someone else to change my sheets I needed to wait until housekeeping arrived at 9:00 a.m. When I asked to speak with the manager directly, I was told he wasn't there, given a card with a phone number that routes straight back to the front desk, and then instructed to email him instead of being offered a callback. I left my number. No one called. I have already filed a formal refund request with Priceline, reported the incident to Wyndham corporate, and will be reporting this to the local health department. To make matters worse, I now have to take precautions to ensure I do not bring any bed bugs home with me as a result of staying here. A bed bug infestation is not a minor inconvenience. It is a serious public health issue. The fact that management's response was to make a guest with a bug in her bed wait three hours for housekeeping and then refuse to take a phone call is inexcusable. This property should be inspected immediately. Stay somewhere else. ANYWHERE else.
