Extended Stay America Washington, D.C. - Gaithersburg

DO NOT STAY HERE THEY ARE SCAMMERS!! We stayed here for 3 months while we sold our house and built another one. We paid 3 months up front. When we checked out we had a $609 credit from taxes. They kept telling us our money will be refunded upon check out. We checked out 2 weeks ago and still no refund. The manager is in India and non responsive. They charge you for everything including heat/Ac. The grass is over 4 feet high and the police are there every other day.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVERRR!! The manger named NATASHA is racist had an attitude with me since day 1 and HAD THE POLICE THROW ME OUT, see I wanted to extend my night since it was snowing and could move with that weather since I have a 9mth baby with me. I get an emergency called and had to leave but before that I went to the front desk and wanted to extend but only found 2housekeeper who said she would be back in 20 mins which she did not. I ask is there anyway I can make payment by phone they proceed to tell me yes (see I don’t no anything about hotels policy my apt had a flood it was my first time being in a hotel) so I left. When I call to make payments she Tanisha starts telling I cannot make payment on the phone I explained to her the housekeeper told me I could she tells me that they didn’t tell me that basically calling me a lier and when I ask her to give me the information on how to pay online she talked over me and ends out telling me I better get there and pick up my belongings. I tell her that I cannot do that since it’s snowy and I have a baby she tells me she will not let me stay another night to pick up my stuff. When I get there there was about 8 police officers with my babies stuffs in bags and when I tell them I would want to to reserved on the other side of the building she tells me she wrote in the system I can no longer get hotels near by!!!!! THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVERRR, TANISHA HAD ME GET KICKED MY BABY AND ME OUT BY POLICE JUST BECAUSE SHE OVERUSED HER POWER OF “MANGER” I am beyond disgusted and disappointed with how we got treated we did not deserved this!! I already lost everything with the flood in my apt and when I go through my stuff there baby oil I had for my child had gotten alll in my child’s cloths and blankets I am so upset like how can you do this just beacuse you don’t like me

Great experience. Staff member Channa was very helpful everyday of my stay and made sure I was treated with great hospitality
