My family of 5 planned a beach vacation in July of 2026 and chose to stay at Ocean City Mansion (Inlet Room 7). We booked through Airbnb. The room was advertised "good for family/groups" and it listed several included amenities which were not actually included (closets, dining room table, dishes, and cookware -- also there were only 2 towel sets). We sent wrote a message to the host, Roy, who replied in a very condescending manor - stating this was not a hotel but a boutique experience. We should not expect these things. We sent him screenshots of his advertisement for the room which had these amenities listed --- but he did not respond anymore -- he had a management group correspond with us (Jumz management). Neither the management group, nor did the host (Roy) offer a simply apology. We were made to feel like we were expecting too mucht. We were offered to leave early if we wanted. We origianlly planned to stay 6 nights but left after 2 nights. We were told that a refund would be processed after our checkout date. No refund was issued. So we contacted the host and his management group wrote back that it may take up to 14 days after the check out date. So at 14 days - again no refund. Wrote again and was told that the finance team would issue it soon. They did not. I contacted them 5 more times and got the same response that the finance team will issue it tomorrow. It was now 4 weeks after our checkout date and I had to write to Airbnb customer service and they promptly issued the refund but the host did not do it on his own volition.
