Plim Plaza

The location is perfect! Love that it has an outdoor bar. This is an older property; it is what it is. Rates are very reasonable after Labor Day. I ALWAYS pay the extra to be on the Ocean View rooms. These rooms have all been redone and are very nice. DO NOT stay in the cheaper rooms, unless they have hopefully been redone. Does it smell musty?? Of course it does! They are on the ocean :). All the employees I have ever delt with are all friendly and helpful. This is the place I stay every time I visit OC.

⭐⭐ Great Spots and Staff Saved It From 1 Star – I will start with the Good: I want to start by saying that most of the staff were genuinely wonderful. The bartenders were all very nice, on top of it, and the frozen drinks and jerk chicken were amazing. We also enjoyed the music and the poolside service. Out of the 3 waitresses we had, one was absolutely exceptional and went above and beyond. Additionally, almost everyone at the front desk was very nice—(except for one woman!! 😡) Location-wise, it’s a convenient spot if you’re looking to be right smack in the middle of the boardwalk; if people-watching is your thing, this place is perfect (though if you want quiet, it’s definitely not for you). The Bad (and it was VERY bad): Service, outside of the standouts was rough. Out of three waitresses, two were downright rude and had to be tracked down just to take an order. 😡😡HOUSEKEEPING 😡😡 Did not come or stock the room a single time unless called!! And we had no towels at all when we first arrived. Then to top it off at one point, when I asked the front desk why our room wasn't being serviced, the woman at the desk was a total 🤬🤬🤬 about it… acting condescending and telling me someone had been there the day before—no 🤬🤬 genius!! Because walked down there AGAIN just to ask for towels! 🤬 The Property & Cleanliness: The facility itself is very outdated and filthy. The garage area was pretty gross, featuring black mold on the walls and potholes all over the place. Inside the building, the hallways smelled heavily of weed, mold, and pee.🤢🤢 Common areas were very dirty, especially the elevator- the light colored tile was almost completely black with filth and footprints. The rooms are extremely small And we’re not cleaned very well- and to make matters worse, the beds had no mattress protectors on them, which is genuinely unsettling. The blankets were thin, scratchy, and looked like $3.99 Walmart specials. Finally, there was screaming and kids jumping around in the rooms above and down the hall at all hours of the night. Overall- Great location ( for some) and a couple of great staff members, but the property conditions and overall service are unacceptable!!! I will NOT be returning!!!

What more can you want at the Plim Plaza? We are on the boardwalk at 2nd st near food and fun. The pool and bar and food in the back are fantastic. Next to the Mug &Mallot and Carrabas. It's a great place to stay, cozy and still keeping Ocean City like it should be. It's not fancy but it feels like home and I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
