What a strange hotel and what an unfortunate experience.
We paid top dollar ($1500) for two nights in a suite, for two people.
We were promised many things when we made the reservation (free breakfast, microwave in room...) and when we arrived, we were told that breakfast was not included. We were told that the microwave (clearly listed under the "amenities" tab of the room we picked) was not included either. After some arguing, breakfast was added (how does a hotel "add" something as a "favor" if you're already paying for it?
Most significantly, at check-in we were not offered any service to carry our bags to our room (we both used wheelchair service in the airport and I use a cane), which was quite far from check-in.
The on-site restaurant does not post its hours on the website, so we had no way of knowing that there was NO FOOD available mid-day. The one small Starbucks restaurant closes at 12:30. The restaurant closes mid-day. There is NO ROOM SERVICE mid-day. So if you arrive in the late morning/early afternoon, as we did, there is NO FOOD AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE until dinner time. You can order in from a local fast-food restaurant (at a premium price, with fees and add-ons), but you CANNOT GET ANY FOOD FROM THE HOTEL. Wow!
The room was clean and big, and the hot water in the shower was strong.
The beds were comfortable.
The front desk staff later in the day and the following day were kind and helpful (not like the check-in person who did not offer us assistance with our bags).
Had their name tags been printed bigger and in a bolder font, I would mention the names of the woman who helped print our boarding passes and the woman who offered help with our bags upon our departure. Both were lovely, so we send our thanks to them.
All in all, we thought of this as a very expensive SERVICE-FREE hotel.
That is to say, minimal service for maximum price.
The hotel even makes clear that the ONE bottle of water per person provided in the room will not be replaced. You get ONE bottle per stay. For $1500, I find that quite extraordinary.
Needless to say, we would never return, and we suggest that if you stay here, you print EVERY piece of information about what you have been promised. Make screenshots of the website and print them. Be prepared to "prove" what you have paid for. It will not be on your reservation. This is a bare-bones operation.
