BEST WESTERN WESTMINSTER CATERING & CONFERENCE CTR.

We usually stay here every time we visit family in the area. We get a pool-side room because they are quiet. We figured out how to make the room rather dark, but light still comes in from the corridor around the loose-fitting door. This room had a walk-in shower and a "comfort-height" toilet. Internet speed very good, but you have to reconnect every day. Breakfast was usual, nothing special, and the strong coffee was not very strong.

The Best Western in Westminster, Maryland, about an hour west of Baltimore, is a good, basic hotel a few minutes from downtown, McDaniel College, and Carroll Hospital. It does not provide maid service for stays of three days or less. Shower temperatures are limited. Shower runoff from the bathroom into the entryway may occur. It provides breakfast. Room temperature settings worked easily.

This Hotel has many problems and is not suitable for the average business traveler. Feel free to read my experience but I would suggest staying somewhere in Owings Mills and driving into Westminster. The hotel is older and shows its age. The rooms were mostly clean but there were spots that were noticably missed, corners of the shower/Bathroom. Heavy Dust in corners of the room. Stains were noticeable in areas. The bed has an 8 inch mattress and is hard a rock and the walls are very thin. Breakfast was poor in offerings and there is no housekeeping unless requested. This led to guests simply depositing their full waste cans outside their room. This hotel has many families living full time as evidenced by the school bus that stopped to pick them up and drop them directly at the hotel. Guessing many rooms are at capacity which contributes to the noise. The staff were friendly but I do not think I would stay here again as the accommodations were not up to my standards.
