The College Club of Boston

Nice old fashioned property. It feels like old Victorian house in London. Very quiet neighbourhood. Hotel was clean, even shared bathroom was spotless. Bed was comfortable, if not a bit too soft for my liking. Room was decent size. You could hear a lot of sounds from next room, walls are thin. Biggest drawback was a shared bathroom. Not very convenient when you need to use toilet in the middle of the night. Also, dinner room smelled strange first day. Breakfast choice is relatively limited. Location is great, next to beautiful parks, you can walk everywhere in city centre within 30 minutes. Iconic Cheers bar is only 5 minutes walk. Would I stay again? Not sure about it. But nothing major to complain about.

Wonderful, friendly, clean and comfortable. Beautiful old building in great location - the breakfast was good & fresh and nicely presented each day. The drinks and snacks provided all day and night in the breakfast room was a nice touch when travelling with a hungry teenager! The only reason we put 4 out of 5 was because of the loud and old air conditioning unit in our room which made it hard to sleep without earplugs. There was a fan provided too which was quieter. Not a huge thing and hopefully can be upgraded at some point because everything else was great and fantastic value for money in a lovely location.

An excellent location not only for visiting the main attractions, but also for accommodation during the Boston Marathon if you are a participant or a fan. The club is located a few blocks from the finish line and three blocks from the buses taking athletes to the start. Hotel prices during the marathon period in the city rise by multiples and you will be lucky if you grab a place here. Breakfast included. And not only. During the day, coffee, cookies, fruit. Naturally, there are disadvantages, but everything is compensated by the price. I definitely recommend it.
