My 20th year!!! Wonderful scenic location right on the bay. The first thing that attracted me when I walking around looking for new places was the long beautiful deck that overlooks the water. The Masthead is on the quiet west end of Commercial Street - close enough to walk to the center of town but far enough to not have the noise and bustle! It is also close to the beach - short bike or car ride; you could also walk. The grounds are beautiful, and the staff is very accommodating. You should go:)

Such nice people, right on the beach, great coffee shop to walk to, amazing views! Walkable to town!

Starting with the positives, the hotel has a great location, waterfront, walking distance to everything, and with a nice waterfront veranda with lounge chairs. It also has a nice New England vibe which make it feel cozy. However, it lacks several hospitality “basics” unfortunately: the front desk person was rude and unhelpful (she acted as she was bothered when we check in and ask questions); Room carpet needs an urgent cleanup (my white socks turned black after a day walking on the carpet); There is no daily cleaning or touch up, which was never communicated to us and you would expect from a “resort” (they definitely need to change that name as it is quite misleading from what it is….); and check out time is at 9am/10am, which is unacceptable especially then check in time is until 4pm. Being in the hospitality business myself I know how hard is to run a place smoothly and try to focus on the positives given all the hard work that running a hotel entails, but again, this place lacks the very basics which is quite unfortunate.
