Unfortunately our trip wasn't as good as others have experienced. We stayed for three nights during the World Cup when the famous Tartan Armey were in town. As you can imagine, the hotel was pretty full at the time. On arrival, we were in a bit of a queue, but nothing crazy. However, once we checked in, the room didn't appear to be what we had booked. I was there with my wife and 2 teenage boys for the football, and we were all shoved into one room. We booked via Booking.com and the room we booked seemed to have bunk beds in a separate annex. We went down to discuss and stood in another queue, for ages this time. When we finally got to speak to the girl at the desk, she wasn't particularly helpful. I was being polite, but I'm not sure she quite understood what we were saying. She was certain we were in the room that we were supposed to be in, so we just asked if we could get a double room for my wife and I, so our boys could just have the double queen room themselves. After about 40 minutes of her speaking to a manager (I think she went on a break), she returned and simply told us to book another room on Booking.com. I thought we may have got a preferential rate considering we were already staying, but alas, we had to pay full price as well as additional overnight city tax. So effectively 6 x the amount of city tax now. The room we got was nowhere near as nice and was in a pretty bizarre set up. The rooms are like cabins inside a warehouse with windows looking into the building. Anyway, it was fine, other than the A/C. It was either off and roasting, or it was like a plane taking off. The breakfast was awful and wasn't replenished anyway, so again, we paid for 6 x breakfast and never ate there once. And there was never anyone serving at the bar, so that was a waste of time as well.
The location was decent and had a subway right outside. The hotel was clean and modern. However, if I return to Boston, I'll stay elsewhere.

Checked in on 21st June 2026. We were in Boston for the England game during the World Cup. I have stayed in many hotels in my life, & this one is absolutely fine, nothing more, nothing less. Comfortably 3.5 / 5.
Firstly, check in was easy. The guy who saw to us was great, up for a laugh but also seemed professional. The beds are comfy & the room spacious & clean. Decent shower also which did not come with shower gel from memory, however we had our own anyway so this was fine.
There is a tram stop right outside & with trams arriving every 8-10 minutes, it was very easy to get into the city centre. Fenway park is also about 7 mins up the line so perfect for anyone out of town who wants to watch Baseball (although I've no idea why you would!) It's a perfect location for exploring while being away from the hustle & bustle of a busy city.
The meh parts. The air con unit kept cutting out after an hour or so, meaning we had to keep manually turning it off & on again. It did not work by using the thermostat on the wall. They did send someone to look at this, but he was unable to fix it. He believed he had, but sorry to say he had not. One of us was up almost every hour through the night to turn it back on & escape the North American heat. The air con was also quite loud & you could hear other rooms' units kicking in & out, but I'm a heavy sleeper so no issues from me.
We didn't realize the hotel offered breakfast, so that was a nice surprise. It is very basic & there were rarely enough seats / tables for everyone, but it was enough to get you by.
Overall, decent hotel, great location & would stay again if I were in the area.

Clean rooms. Convenient location right off of the T. Odd layout to the rooms in the hotel. Some have windows to the inner lobby/walkways of the hotel. The room we stayed in was quite large for a bigger city. Rooms could benefit from updating. Need more soap and shampoo for the shower. I probably would stay closer to downtown next time.
