My poor review is based on a number of factors. The innkeeper/owner greeted us by simply telling us we parked our car incorrectly. No greeting or welcome. A stern admonition. The pool was not working. No apology. Just indifference. The blinds in our room fell to the floor. The chain to the ceiling fan was broken. Hence the need for an improvised step ladder. Beyond that, the lighting in our room, as well as in other areas of the inn, was extremely poor. One could have used a flashlight late at night. Unlike other lovely inns in the area, no afternoon tea, coffee or biscuits. I don’t take pleasure in setting out the above as I usually find many wonderful features in inns and hotels. How much these matters would have been less meaningful if the innkeeper had been welcoming, greeted people with a smile and showed some interest in her guests is inestimable.

We loved our stay with Diane and her "unique", beautiful home. Beautifully decorated rooms (not modern, in keeping with the age and style of the house). I say "unique" because of the number of rooms in the house. You can have a Cooked-To-Order Breakfast in a different room for 3 straight days. Yes, the breakfasts were amazing and since the Kitchen is right there, you get to interact with the great cook and servers.

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay here. The room was amazing and the breakfast was excellent. Our hostess Diane was very accommodating. And, it’s so close to town as well.
