BEST WESTERN NEW ENGLANDER

There was splenty of handicapped parking right up front. Our mobility assist room was great. Plenty of space. The bathroom was great and had a shower bench. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast had some hot items and standard continental items as well. My only suggestion is the ice machine was not located in a central area. It was on the 2nd and 4th floors which was fine, but it was all the way down at the end of the hallway. Not just right off of the elevator like many other hotels. Other than that, we had a good stay. The front desk staff was also friendly.

We were visiting from San Diego on a road trip after several hours of driving would decide to stay at this hotel made a mistake on the booking. I called Expedia to see if they can help me out with the booking. They said the hotel needed to approve the refund, hotel never approved it. They charged me for the day and I didn’t stay not even a partial refund, called Expedia again and they couldn’t help me either so I ended up booking another hotel in another city. Very bad customer service understood it was my fault, but they couldn’t do anything for me at all.

Hotel is old, but semi clean. They had a nice work out room (no towels) breakfast was a bit better than normal fair. Stairs were crusty and the carpet was ripped. Railings filthy. The bathroom had no fan, after a shower the floor was wet with condensation and very slick. Fridge froze all our food and soda. Fire alarm went off at 2:50 am. Was told there was no issue. Fire alarm continued to go off till almost 320. Fire alarm went off again at 720. Again told there was no issue, alarm continued till about 8am, when the fire department showed up. Again, no fire (thankfully). When checking out the man asked how my stay was. I told him about the slick floor and he said the HVAC system takes care of that (obv not) and about the 2x fire alarm. He said that happens all the Time…. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels. It’s happened once in all my years and was turned off in 5 minutes and apologies were made. Not here. Want to wake up 2x by a fire alarm that, according to staff, frequently goes off? Defs stay here. 😡🙄
