Quality Inn Byron Center

I stayed two nights for a quiet solo getaway. I provided my valid ID at check-in. They internally flagged me for not having a driver’s license, but still allowed me to stay. I caused zero problems, made no noise, and had no issues with any guests or staff. After checkout, the hotel called the police on me anyway. I was pulled over 2 exits down the highway. The police report was full of lies, claiming they scanned plates and ran address checks. None of that happened. This was completely unnecessary harassment.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The faucet in the bathroom shot off the pipe and wall while we were showering. We had to convince them to give us a different room (some poor sap was given ours, we later found out), and they didn't think we were deserving of reimbursement because we booked in advance instead of when we got here. The second room's bathroom door had a hole punched into it, so we were afraid to close it too hard, but it didn't latch if you didn't close it harder. On top of that, the hot tub and ice machine were down for the majority of our stay.

The check-in went great, and the room was clean and very nice. The TV was great, and the microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator were all clean and working. We came for the hot tub and were not disappointed! This place is nice with plenty of parking. I would stay here again; the front desk staff was amazing, very friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate me and my husband. Nice to have that professionalism nowadays. Plus, it was very close to good eating and drinking establishments in Grand Rapids.
