Hampton Inn Detroit - Dearborn

Location seems find.. atmospheric could have been better.. the power went out and 6hrs later still wasn’t a fix staff seemed not to care about the situation . Room was okay they did forget my extra towel, extra pillows .. giving I use free points this place needs to be shutdown because it’s not equipped properly

It's a great location. Right next to the train station with buses that run downtown. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Right near buses that run but not that far from other businesses in terms of driving. Plenty of things to see nearby in Dearborn.

Our family rented three rooms for four nights. We chose this location due to the close proximity to the Henry Ford Museum complex and Amtrak station. Those were the main positives. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, also. We were traveling in a group of seven people, so it was also nice that there was a large common area that we could gather in and relax, play games, etc. The air conditioning was good. The negatives ... the pool smelled like a fish tank that hadn't been cleaned in a while. The whole property could use an update and deep cleaning. Our room smelled musty and kicked in my allergies. Housekeeping did not come in every day. We had to ask for more towels, which the staff did graciously accommodate. The bathroom fan was very loud. The majority of the time you had to let the water run for several minutes in order to get a hot shower. This was addressed with desk staff and they said it was being worked on. The key cards needed to be reprogrammed at least once a day in order for them to work. The refrigerator leaked water all over our saved food inside so it became soggy and we had to discard it. The breakfast offerings were not always fully stocked. No yogurt, fruit, or eggs on some days. Would probably stay at a different location another time since we did take an Uber to the museum most days. Our stay was just ok, if that.
