Comfort Inn & Suites University Park

The hotel is conveniently located adjacent to CMU and surrounded by numerous restaurants (including one attached to the hotel) and a Target with a grocery store. It’s right off the highway and very easy to find. Plenty of parking. My room was large, comfortable and clean. The bed was nicely firm and comfy, and there were several pillows of varying firmness. The room temperature felt accurate to my setting. The original desk chair provided was wobbly but was replaced promptly when I notified the desk. There is a pool and nice fitness center. Breakfast offered a lot of choices including hot eggs and sausage. My only negative comment is that the coffee, mixed and dispensed from a push-button machine, was really nasty. It tasted old and stale each time I tried it. (I will allow time for a trip to the Starbucks up the road if I’m ever back.) Also, the coffee cream provided was artificial “Coffee Delight” which I cannot use due to food sensitivities. I’m docking one star for that.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I booked it because they accept dogs. I really appreciate how easy they were with checking in with a dog. Zero hassle. Just the normal check your Id and make a deposit in case of damages. The hotel itself was very nice and super clean. The staff all seem great. The layout is a little confusing, but it works. The room itself was very nice. Got a ground floor room, maybe due to the dog. The room had two queen sized beds, the normal desk and chair. There was a microwave and mini fridge. Plus the TV was actually a decent size, unlike some hotels I stayed at. There's a small closet to hang your clothes. I really liked the bathroom with its walk in shower and the showerhead was nice and high so tall people can actually shower. The room was very clean. The bed was on the firmer side, but not too firm. I slept as well as I can in a different place than normal. Overall for a 3 star hotel this is a 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely, this is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in for a very decent price. Plus my dog really loved having her own bed and the hotel too. P.s. the trails behind the hotel are very nice. My dog thought the smells were wonderful and I enjoyed the piece of nature with a nice pave trail.

Disgusting. Smelled like a locker room in the room. Clogged toilet. Reservation was for a jacuzzi suite and was put in a single king. (Thank God we didn’t get a jacuzzi because it would have probably been dirty!!) front desk was no help in accommodation.
