Check in around almost 10pm Monday (8/25/26) check out time was 11am. upon arrive with my wife and 2 kids we was tired an worn out from the beaches and eating out ice cream. Following next morning I proceed to gather my family belongings and notice that there were mold on the bed skirts on both beds (literally mold).On top of that the toilet kept running after we flushed. When I brought it to management (Hina Patel) he didn’t believe me so he wanted to see in my room even though I had video. While arriving in my room he looks at the situation of the problem and proceeds to tell me that’s water. He made derogatory comments about me how I’m after his money and what not. He doesn’t make it right cops and attitude and gonna threaten me to never come to a hotel again. I advised to proceed with caution.

since I am a long time member of the chain I inquired about my discount for rooms and about points I would earn since it is a perk. The front desk lady with very very broken English after repeating it 5xs or so about rewards said I had to book it on the website to receive a cheaper room. I asked her well instead of literally standing in the lobby with my phone booking , I asked about triple aaa discount instead of the hassle of booking because it seems triple aaa is usually 5-10% off most hotels. she said their wasn't any triple aaa discount yet literally on their website triple aaa is listed as a cheaper discounted price for a room. I just left tomah Illinois and definitely used my triple aaa discount so apparently this lady doesn't have a clue. i also asked her can she match it what it says off my phone the discount is on the website on my phone and type it i in her computer instead of me booking and wasting time. she said no. So I had to literally sit in the lobby, login into the choice hotels website which is very slow loading on 5g network, pull out my credit card to book it and then tell the front desk I was booked. This is the most backward thing I've ever seen. does it make any sense at all that , for you to get your membership rewards or discount from triple aaa that I have to go on the website and book when im standing 3 feet from the main lobby at a hotel? And she couldn't do any type of member savings on the computer ? On the hotel computer?? Why did tbe other quality / choice hotels have zero issues at the front desk offering me a discount for being a member and triple a? Came into the room and turned on the TV and it's a blue screen that says "no signal" after waiting and being aggravated with the lobby clerk i had no choice but to go down and tell her the TV wasn't working. she said it takes 5-15 minutes to warm up and I could scan the TV screen to make it work? wth does that even mean? I finally had to manually switch the hdmi from hdmi 2 to hdmi 1 that somehow was on. if all this isn't bad enough, the 3rd floor smells like burning eastern Indian food. like its so strong that it fills the whole hallway with some kinda curry smell and if you know what it smells like you know what I am talking about. The first floor hallway leading to the rooms has a very unique odor to it either old air freshener or perfume that dominates my nostrils. I also noted notes of a lit cigarette down the hall which doesnt make sense because all hotels are forbidden from smoking in establishments and is highly illegal. I didnt see or smell any smoke near the side door entrance so this tells me the cigarette smoking is from inside particularly near rooms 100-104. The second floor hallway heading down to the rooms has a unique odor as well but not as strong as the first or third. Smells of worn carpet and musky scents. My room is clean haven't seen a roach or bug at all in the room. the bed is cushy and the pillows melt around you like marshmallows. water pressure in my room is also good and drains well. The fitness room has a good weight lifting machine but the buttons on the cycle machine are broke and cant tell what is what on it and outdated. Going to the pool when its in the evening revealed their is some sort of lights on the ceiling but zero light switches or anyway of turning them on so you can see other then the lights from the hallway glowing which made my friend unable to read their book at the table as I was going to swim. The water in the pool is pretty cold and was not heated like the other quality / choice hotels I have been staying in these last 4 days. breakfast is very subpar if best. Hot foods served on todays menu were hash browns that were very freezer burned and dry as toast with the two bites I had of it, and folded store eggs that i didnt even bother with in fear i could get sick. The water dispenser in the machine tastes like water from a garden hose and clearly isn't even labeled for water or a out of order sign, just broken buttons. The coffee machine has very tasteless coffee that makes one cringe trying it. They also had a tip envelope in the room for the housekeeper? Never seen that in a quality inn / choice hotel in all my travels and stays in the chain. Overall, this would NOT be my first choice of a hotel. They dont give you triple aaa discounts, I had to do a huge run around logging in off my phone in the LOBBY JUST to get 5% off when "Booking" on their website when the front desk clerk with no name badge BTW could've took care of it easy. This is NOT how you treat paying guests let alone members who have spent thousands with the quality/ choice chain traveling across the US. 20 other hotels are in the area (so said trip advisor) might be best to book into one of those instead.

Nice place for the price, 103$ dog accepted for an extra 20$, clean, nice welcome. We never book on the round trip from Texas, here it was very good...
