Best Western Eden Prairie

By no means is this meant to be a slight on the property but reviews I've seen of this property led me to believe it was nicer than it was. It's more than adequate for a discount experience but the carpets are so worn and mildewy and the room doors do not close easily and the furnishings are very very bare bones. The AC unit was so loud and did not keep up with the heat. We checked in and checked out because it was not a 5 star experience reviews I've read stated. Please weigh your expectations when deciding whether to stay here. If you routinely stay in motel 6 or something akin, this will definitely meet and exceed your expectations. We checked into a holiday inn in Bloomington for less money and it smelled nice, felt safe and the rooms were very cool in the heat.

A new economic price point for Hilton, done well. Not fancy but simple, clean and modern. A nice indoor pool, hot tub and fitness as well as a bagel coffee station in the morning. Pro Tip: Coffee and tea available all the time in the lobby as there no brewing machines in the rooms. I would definitely stay here again! (Literally across a small road from the Eden Prairie mall, good location!)

As a new division of the Hilton chain, Spark is all about taking existing hotels and breathing fresh, modern life into them, offering value-conscious travelers a reliable and comfortable experience. It's clear the owners here are doing an exceptional job; their on-site presence and dedication to the remodel truly shine through. Modern Comforts and Thoughtful Amenities (with a note on an unexpected issue) From the moment I stepped inside, the hotel's modern decoration and impeccable cleanliness were evident. My room was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I was greeted with a personalized welcome message on the TV, a lovely touch. I also really appreciated the options for both synthetic and down pillows, catering to different preferences. The room's functionality was excellent too. There's a small refrigerator perfect for drinks, and while there are no traditional drawers, the more economic and modern approach with luggage stands and open hanging space felt surprisingly efficient and kept the room feeling open. The 55-inch TV with great streaming options was a huge plus, as were the numerous modern pad charging stations and the convenient extendable desk area. I also valued the use of sustainable bath products. My seven-year-old was thrilled with the pool and hot tub on the property, and the staff consistently showed genuine kindness and accommodation towards him throughout our stay. One notable challenge during my stay was experiencing heavy marijuana smoke seeping into my room from a surrounding area. Coming from California where marijuana is legalized, I'm certainly no stranger to it, but I prefer that it doesn't permeate the sleeping areas of a non-smoking establishment. On one occasion, it was strong enough to wake me up around 4 AM, making it feel like my room was being "hot boxed." While I understand this can be difficult for any hotel to manage, especially when the property is advertised as non-smoking, I hope Spark by Hilton considers implementing or more heavily guarding a clear policy against such activity to ensure guests like myself can enjoy a truly smoke-free environment. Dining, Location, and Diamond Perks The breakfast bar in the mornings was a delicious way to start each day. For convenience, the lobby offers a selection of reasonably priced snacks and food items. The hotel's location is fantastic, with lots of great restaurants nearby, including a Caribou Coffee and Crisp & Green within easy reach. As a Diamond member, I was pleased to see dedicated Diamond member parking at the front. However, I noticed it wasn't always enforced, with various cars parked there. I do hope they consider implementing a permit system or clearer enforcement in the future, as it's a valuable perk for loyal members. Exceeding Expectations in Eden Prairie (with a plea for continued vigilance) Having stayed at many hotels in the area, I can confidently say that Spark by Hilton in Eden Prairie is a cut above the rest. So many other properties feel dated and grimy, but the fresh renovations and meticulous attention to detail here truly make a difference. Spark by Hilton's commitment to delivering essential amenities with a focus on quality and consistency is evident, and this location absolutely delivers. I sincerely hope this hotel continues to maintain its high standards of cleanliness, upkeep, the quality of its renovations, and remains vigilant in enforcing its non-smoking policy to ensure a truly fresh experience for all guests. If they do, I have no doubt they'll continue to attract and retain a discerning clientele for years to come. I highly recommend Spark by Hilton in Eden Prairie for anyone visiting the area!
