Country Inn & Suites Minneapolis West

We booked this hotel for one night using a ParkandFly program. It was not a good experience. We arrived and check-in was okay but when we went to our room the door was propped open with the security hasp. There was no one inside so we brought in our luggage. The room across the hall also had a door propped open the same way. I pushed it slightly and a man who looked as though he was part of the housekeeping team stuck his head out. I asked him why our door was open and he said he had no idea. Then he said that perhaps housekeeping had left it that way, went back into the second room and that door stayed propped open for hours. The room was spacious enough and reasonably clean. There was a coffee pot but no cup or even plastic cups for water. The bed was comfortable. We had made reservations at check-in for the 6:00 am shuttle to the airport. They advertise this free service on the ParkandFly site. There was another party of 5 who were also booked on this shuttle so the 7 of us waited in the lobby together. 6:00 am came and went; no shuttle. At about 6:15 someone asked the desk clerk (who had, of course, seen us all milling around the lobby and must have know we were waiting for the shuttle) when the shuttle would arrive and was told there was no shuttle that morning. We were NOT advised of any of this prior to someone asking. The desk clerk then said the hotel would pay for Ubers to get us to the airport and they did. We were able to arrive with time to catch our flight. After our trip, we were supposed to call for the shuttle to get back to our car at the hotel. We talked to the shuttle driver and were picked up quickly but that was the only thing that went well. We were in the shuttle with a family of four and they were dropped off at another Country Inn location. Then, we were taken to yet another hotel and had to wait there, in the shuttle, for the driver to consult with someone and then he returned with yet another driver. The first driver said he was leaving and we had to go elsewhere to pick up a different vehicle. All in all we had to drive around Minneapolis for about an hour before being transferred to what looked like a private car and then finally taken to our car at the first hotel. This property is definitely NOT up the Choice Property standards or Raddison or whomever is supposted to be overseeing these hotel. I realize they are all franchisees but it would seem the company that has its name on these locations would want to know what was going on. We fly out of Minneapolis frequently and use ParkandFly for early flights. We will never stay at this perperty again and advise others not to do so.

Very pleasant employees but the place is under renovation and not everything works. The new shower is walk-in and has a handheld sprayhead with no place to anchor it--water everywhere. There is one hook for towels. We stayed four nights and the room was never serviced--no trash empty, no fresh towels, no vacuum, no bed made, etc. Not a big issue but we were charged a "Service Fee" equal to the city tax. No bill on checkout but they said they would e-mail. Convenient location with great restaurant next door.

First off I stay here every time I come to Mpls, been a few years since I've come up here and this place has gone downhill! The rooms are now just ok, looking worn down, the bathroom tile looks like I really need to wear slippers or something because tat tile looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a while , but the biggest disappointment is their breakfast, they always had a wonderful breakfast hence why I don't mind spending more than other places nearby because of the breakfast, when I called and booked my reservation I even said " you still have that breakfast " they said yes, well we go to breakfast this morning and SURPRISE it's a grab and go breakfast by the front lobby with a sigh saying the restaurant is under construction! Well had they told me when I called I would have booked somewhere else! Very disappointed in this place they need to put some money into maintenance here ! Will definitely book elsewhere next trip
