Waconia Inn and Suites

This is my go to place when I visit MN. I feel so at home here. I love all the girls that run the Inn and a their new addition to the team is friendly and helpful. The manager always attends to my needs and her co-worker is a tech whiz helping me with my TV. Housekeeping gal works hard keeping every thing nice and clean and always a good morning with a huge smile. I miss you guys, until next year

Stay as far away from this place! We stayed there approximately 2 years ago and it was as expected as a no-frills budget Motel. It was clean and acceptable. NOT SO MUCH THIS TIME! Walked in to check in and the place stunk and dirty. We had a funeral so didn't have much choice of where to stay. Walked into the room and there was a portable air conditioner on the nightstand. Vibrations were terrible. Urine had been running down the front of the toilet. One tiny lamp in the entire room so it was dark. Bed sounded like sleeping on a vinyl couch. Power went out for 2 hours (Not their fault) but manager did not know how to turn off the alarms. I do believe they never did get them turned back on properly as the alarm above the bed flashed bright red all night long. After returning from the funeral we opened up the curtains and saw just how completely DIRTY this place was. Even though I had paid for 2 nights I packed my bags as I was not staying there another night. Spoke with the manager and got all kinds of excuses but no refund for the night we would not stay. I can not believe this place hasn't been shut down!!

Its quaint and maybe 2 stars, but I liked it and they were patient with me after I was injured in a serious car accident. Yes I would recommend them.
