816 Hotel

Had an absolute wonderful customer service experience during my stay at Hotel Westport. Shamika and Megan went way above and beyond for an error that was completely on me. I went to check and couldnt not find my reservation. I mistakenly made it for the following Wed - Sat. It was a pre-pay and that is always a challenge to work around that. Between Shamika and Megan, not only did they get me a room for the correct week, honored my price and was able to cancel the original reservation without any penalties. On top of that, they didn't have a kind available so upgraded me to a suite, all at no extra cost. Shamika and Megan did not have to do any of that and I am so appreciative for there assistance.

(This is what I sent to Hilton). Clearly there are issues at this hotel which management needs to rectify. This is not Hilton quality. As you are aware, the noise on Monday night (Sept 7) was unbearable with Jackhammer and construction equipment starting at 11.50 pm till 7am. NO SLEEP: impossible! We went to desk in the morning and we were moved to the DIRTY SOCK ROOM: Bad to disgusting. They had moved other guests during the night to new rooms. Attached are 3 pictures taken 8th and 9th of Sept. The 3rd is the 3 pieces of heavy construction that worked all night directly below us, The dirty sock (Sept 9th) in 2nd pic was DISGUSTING. It was so filthy. I discovered this sock in the bed, when I got under the covers. You can see debris in the 1st Pic on the sheets. It looks like it had been slept in. The sheets look used. Clearly there are issues at this hotel which management needs to rectify. This is not Hilton quality. In fairness to Hilton they reduced our stay and I sent several emails but did they did nothing further than say "too bad". Fortunately there are plenty of other places to stay.

Our check-in was handled by the GM, Megan Salisbury. She was helpful, giving us suggestions about the Westport neighborhood. Our room was clean and comfortable. And it was quiet, with a view outside. The morning crew in the restaurant was friendly and the food was good! Check out daily specials. We will be returning.
