Holiday Inn Express Moberly

Solid hotel in a town with only two. Basic rooms. Doesn’t have a worn look which is good. Friendly staff. Convenient on and off to main Highway. I’m in town for business and this is an ok choice.

Overall the hotel was comfortable and clean. It looks a little run down and all the semi trucks parked right next to it did not add to the appeal. I can say the associate who checked us in was super nice and upbeat (she stated she was new) and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was also good. On the negative side, the bathroom vanity was very small and the toilet had flushing issues.

Overall it was a quiet place and I had a restful stay. But the room was very damp and so were some of the bathroom towels that were provided. I always had to hold the toilet handle down for about 5 seconds in order to flush the toilet and the Wi-Fi in this motel is very slow. (Speed for all rooms and areas was around 3 mbit/sec. Okay for email and simple web page browsing but inadequate for more complex pages, streaming, or conference calls.) Breakfast was good and I did like the easy access from the parking lot to the lobby/room areas. (Automatic doors were nice.)
