Hampton Inn St. Louis-Airport

The check in staff and kitchen staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offerings were varied and plentiful. Dining area was clean.

Arrived around 5 Wednesday afternoon. Warmly welcomed & greeted by 2 front desk associates. Got into our room quickly, which was a bit warm. Turned the a/c on and back to the airport, about 10 minutes away to pick up family arriving on a later flight. After dinner, went back to our room, which the display said was 76, but felt much warmer. Called the front desk for help and an associate brought new batteries to swap out, but when the room didn't cool down, we called again and was offered a room move. I was most impressed by Ms. Diane (sp?), who was prepared & brought the new room keys & offered to check if the a/c in the new room was working 1st. She was professional, apologetic, and pro-active. She returned, saying the new room was cooler, but the a/c had a slight squeak. Fine by us. We moved to the new room, which was more comfortable & didn't hear a squeak. Both rooms had an empty mini-fridge for personal use, which was appreciated. Large bath gel, shampoo and conditioner were in the bathroom. Both rooms were clean. Complimentary breakfast from 6 - 9:30 (scrambled eggs, sausage patties, bread, waffles, cereal, fresh fruit, oatmeal, etc.) was offered. I've worked in hospitality 30+ years and this Wingate is doing it right. Would definitely return.

Check in was friendly and quick, hotel was clean and safe, rooms were clean.
