Stumptown Inn of Whitefish

Not what we expected… the pictures make this look like an upscale, cute boutique hotel. At over $600 a night that was what we thought it was going to be like. First of all, the staff were very friendly. It was very clean too. The best way to describe this hotel is that they took a Motel6 and added some new paint and cute decorations. The walls are super super thin. You could hear the conversations of the people next-door. Every movement of the people above you is heard —very hard to sleep with all the noise. If your room is facing the parking lot plan on hearing all of the coming and going in the parking lot. Additionally, if your room is next to the stairwell, you will hear people coming and going all night as well. I just feel like you should know what you’re getting into staying here because the pictures do make it look very upscale and it is not at all even close.

Very cute and clean hotel. Beautiful views. Friendly service. Room was big especially given the price we paid (great deal!). Would stay here again!

We stopped here for one night and were really impressed. The hotel was spotless and had a modern, stylish feel without being overdone. The staff were welcoming and very helpful the entire time. There’s a sauna and a fire pit, which were nice after skiing. The room was comfortable and quiet — exactly what we needed. Definitely a great place to stay in Whitefish and we’d happily come back.
