Ramada Plaza Omaha

This is the worst hotel ever. I received an email two days before my stay reminding me of my reservation. The email stated I had a superior suite room that came with a hot breakfast. The room was not superior and definitely not a suite. It barely qualified as a standard room. The breakfast was a packaged muffin and a granola bar. I was informed they hadn’t have a hot breakfast for several months—FALSE ADVERTISING. The lobby is very austere—looks nothing like the picture on their website. The people checking us in looked very unprofessional and had difficulty working their computer. The hall carpets were dirty and there was a huge pile of trash on our floor by the elevators. The bathroom floor was dirty and the toilet seat did not fit properly. The shower water turned ice cold halfway through. The only positive thing of our stay was that the beds were comfortable. This hotel has had many negative reviews over the past year, and it seems the same problems prevail. They really don’t care. If I could give them zero stars I would.

DO NOT STAY. The city of Omaha should revoke this hotel’s business license. There is drug and police activity here, and it also serves as homeless housing. We booked 25 rooms for a group trip for families with elementary aged kids. The check-in process was very manual and at least 2 families were given duplicate rooms. While we were waiting for nearly an hour to check in, there was police activity in the parking lot and DEA agents entered the hotel. Upon entering our rooms, one family found mice droppings, one family was given an active key card to an already occupied room, at least one family was given a dirty room, and multiple families were given rooms for a single occupancy. We were advised by the police that the hotel was not safe for young children, and we learned the city has fire code violations on file for the water park. The hotel tower was filthy with stained carpets and food on the floor.

Reserved two different ways through their website & neither reservation popped up in their system after 30 minutes. Ended up paying full price for a room that I shouldn’t have. No discounts were given. Receptionist wasn’t exactly kind either. Will not use again.
