PROSPECTOR HOTEL AND CASINO

The hotel is located easily accessible to the main restaurants in the city. There is no elevator, so if you are on the 2nd floor you are carrying your very large suitcases up the stairs to your room. The majority of the hotel smelled like cigarette smoke, except the inside of the rooms. There is a restaurant in the hotel, Margaritas, and the food was very good. The only issue I had was that you had to walk through the casino to get to the restaurant and the smoke smell is strong. There is coffee available in the morning in the area near the reception desk. Parking in the evening was difficult. As far as the rooms, I will speak for ours. The bed was comfortable, the room is very spacious. The microwave in our room is very old and did not heat very well. The safe in our room would not lock. My brother and SIL were in a different room and their appliances were much newer than ours and they had an actual thermostat to control the air conditioner with.

Clean, cute, accommodating. Great place to stay!

I asked for all ADA room for my DAV and his service dog. What were got was the smelliest room in the pet hallway. With a bath tub, not a walk in shower as I requested. It smells of wet dog & mold. The sheets and towels were clean, but we didn’t go barefoot in the room. They said it was the last room available, and charged me $200/night. I ordered take away from the restaurant, watched it leave the kitchen, walked it down to the room in less than 3 minutes & the food was not hot. It was almost warm. The cheese wasn’t stringy, like melted cheese should be on the nachos. There is ZERO chance we’ll stay here again. They said they don’t offer refunds.
