BEST WESTERN MINDEN INN

Do not stay at Quality Inn in Minden NV. If I could rate it for less than one star, I would give one-half star. This place is beyond help. It is run down, the concrete walkways and sidewalks are seriously deteriorating. It's June 2026, yet the swimming pool is closed and it contains all kinds of debris such as leaves, trash, etc. There is no water in the pool. The grass had not been mowed in probably two weeks or more. The breakfast is non-existent. Coffee only, nothing else. Ice is available on the counter from a container about the size of a toaster. The room air conditioner operation was quite sporadic.

If I could give zero stars I would. Found Bed bugs crawling on the walls absolutely disgusting we smashed them immediately and when we reported it even with pictures the guy didn't believe us but gave us a new room and proceeded to ask if we dirtied the room so he could clean it or give it to someone else. WHAT?!?! We found bed bugs dude. Then the room they moved us into was flooding. This morning I woke up with bites and they also offered a towel to put on the floor to help with the flooding.

We pulled in with a reservation late in the evening. First thing we noticed was there was not a single car there, none. As we checked in he mentioned we could not have the top floor room we requested because they were all closed and not in use. Strange, hopefully renovating. Then I noticed a handwritten sign that said they were not serving the breakfast they advertised, and the pool was closed. At that point I asked for a refund. He quickly took care of that, and we left. Obviously we were not the first to walk away. The whole situation is very odd. Not our typical Choice hotel experience. I would definitely avoid this property.
